Review and Giveaway of the MASHA Food Masher!

I’ve been waiting for little Poppyseed to turn 7 months so I can begin to feed him baby food and I’m so happy this day has finally come! Feeding him breastmilk day after day for the past 7 months was just plain boring! I’ve been dying to feed him freshly made yams, avocados, apple sauce, steamed veggies, and more! The thought of baby food splattered everywhere by little Poppyseed actually made me smile!

I received a MASHA to share my honest opinion with you all and it couldn’t come at a better time. A MASHA is a handheld kitchen device that mashes food like potatoes, avocado, cake mix, and more!

The patented ROTOR-CONE technology in the Masha uses a low speed rotor to force ingredients through an outer mesh and give it a perfect consistency each time.  It is compact, easy to clean and safe for dishwashers.

So far, I used the MASHA to mash yams, avocados, boiled apples for little Poppyseed. It is incredibly easy to use, the power level is strong, and the mashed food definitely comes out in smooth texture.

What I like most about the MASHA is that the blade is made of high quality durable plastic, so no fear of any cuts or injuries when cleaning for clumsy people like me.

Because the MASHA is a handheld narrow appliance, I don’t have to transport the ingredients into a food chopper or blender just for it to be mashed. I can keep the food in the current pot or dish and mash away. That’s one less pot or dish to wash! The design is also very modern and sleek, goes well with my kitchen d├ęcor and doesn’t take up much space.
I highly recommend this product to you all, especially if you love making your own baby food and hate cleaning extra unnecessary dishes! I've chucked my chunky food chopper and use only the MASHA now to make my very own homemade baby food for little Poppyseed.
The MASHA can be purchased directly from the retailer, NexGenStore, by clicking here. Use promo code "masha01" to get 20% discount.

Baby Essentials" (2 Red Hens, Tortle, MAM) Giveaway!

Welcome to the Baby Essentials Giveaway

The Tortle

Tortle is a simple, comfortable beanie that helps prevent and treat early stages flat head syndrome: plagiocephaly & torticollis. It makes the job of repositioning newborns safe and easy. It is recommended that all newborns wear a Tortle for the first few months of life to aid in repositioning; which supports healthy development. Tortle works by gently deflecting your baby’s head when she's sitting or lying on the back of her head, to gently move her head from side to side.

The incidence of plagiocephaly and torticollis (or flat head syndrome) has increased by 600% since 1992 due to the amount of time infants spend on their back (the safest place to be). However, if left untreated, treatment is expensive and can be hard on the baby. Moreover, long term developmental delays can occur. But plagiocephaly and torticollis almost 100% preventable with repositioning, which Tortle makes easy.
The Rooster Diaper Bag is the most popular bag from 2 Red Hens. To a passerby, the Rooster bag looks like a cute purse, but look inside, and you’ll see the functionality that every mom needs in a diaper bag. With an interior zipper pocket, bottle holder and 2 elastic pockets, organization is a cinch! And, never dig for your keys again with an attached key Fob for easy access! Other features include: removable stroller straps, magnetic snap & button for extra security, water-resistant backing for easy, wipe-down cleaning, & extra-long polka-dot changing pad (26" x 12.5").
Behind each MAM innovation is a perfect combination of medical and technical expertise. Internationally recognized designers, medical professionals and developmental psychologists collaborate to develop safe and innovative baby products. For this reason, MAM's mission is to provide babies with an optimal start in life and cool, easy style for their parents! At MAM you'll find lots of great BPA-Free products including pacifiers, sippy cups, bottles, teethers, and more!

Review & Giveaway of the JPMA Awarded Lightweight Bitybean Baby Carrier! (ARV $55).

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved carrying my dolls everywhere in a wrap and bounced around like a kangaroo. It was no surprise then that I grew up with a LOVE for babywearing. Not only does it free my hands up while carrying little Poppyseed around, but it keeps him always close to my heart. I’m sure many parents will tell you the same.

My very first baby carrier was an original Baby Bjorn because so many of my friends and family owned one. Waited anxiously till Poppyseed turned 4 months old to babywear and all he did was kick and scream. Turned out the Baby Bjorn carrier wasn’t spacious enough for little Poppyseed who wasn’t so little after all. I married a really tall man and my in-laws just LOVE to overfeed him. At 4 months, little Poppyseed was already wearing 9 months old clothes. The Baby Bjorn may have worked for other parents, but definitely not for us.  My back and shoulders would cave into great aches and pains after short use and Poppyseed often times would sink down to my hips because the clasps just couldn’t support his weight. After speaking to a number of parents, turns out that the Baby Bjorn was more fitted for smaller children.
So my quest for the perfect baby carrier continued - I went on to buy a Britax carrier, a Lillebaby carrier, and even as far as the Stokke carrier. Before I knew it, I owned a total of 7 baby carriers for just one child. It became a borderline obsession that needed serious intervention! I had to promise my hubby not to buy anymore. Sparing you all of the details, each of these carriers overall did its job and gave mercy to my back and shoulders, but boy, are they bulky! Between lugging around my fully loaded diaper bag, backpack and sometime even a purse, there is just not enough room to throw in a bulky baby carrier. So I often have to pick whether to lug out the stroller or the baby carrier whenever we go out.
